17th Annual Chili Bowl Fest and
Holiday Art & Craft Faire
December 7th and 8th 

(Tujunga, CA, November 15, 2019)--McGroarty Arts Center is presenting the 17th Annual Chili Bowl Fest and Holiday Art & Craft Faire over the weekend of December 7th and 8th.This year's event will be joyfully expansive, offering the beautiful handmade creations of 35 local artisans within the festively decorated, historic, McGroarty Arts Center and throughout the upper parking lot. Live music will be provided by Wumbloozo, Sean Wiggans, Franny McCartney and Clean Slate (just to mention a few). If you had trouble finding parking in the past, you will be delighted to hear that there will be extra, free parking a short distance down the road at Remnant University (7754 McGroarty Street) with a shuttle to bring you to McGroarty and back. Your local Sunland-Tujunga Neighborhood Council is helping make it possible for everyone in our community to attend this event by offering free rides up and down the McGroarty driveway, both Saturday and Sunday, in a comfortable 6-person golf cart from our local business, GCIV! Don't miss this special event.

Saturday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.- We are hosting our Chili Bowl Fest and Holiday Art & Craft Faire. There will be approximately 1400 chili bowls handmade by McGroarty ceramics students and teachers. Come pick a one-of-a-kind bowl, then choose a delicious homemade chili and add your choice of toppings. In addition, there will be craft beer and sodas, live music, a bake sale, tables to eat at, and 35 unique art and craft vendors filling the center building and the upper parking lot.

Sunday, Dec. 8, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - This will be more of a family and kids’ holiday event. We will continue serving chili to fill our handmade chili bowls. In addition, we will provide a great photo op with Santa, with Christmas music, cookie painting for the kids, and more! We will also have bountiful shopping opportunities provided by the 35 art and craft vendors for unique holiday gifts.


This event is a fundraiser for the non-profit McGroarty Arts Center.
