Mark your calendars for an evening of Spooky Stories, Tales, and Poems, plus games, raffles and contests just in time for Halloween. Come in costume, or not -- your choice – and plan to have fun!
Spooky Stories and Poems based on local community locations and happenings will be recited by spooky Bolton Hall Museum volunteers and members of the Village Poets of Sunland-Tujunga.
But wait, there’s more…..
Costumes: If you dress up, you can be part of the Promenade of the Costumes and the Costume Contest. Awards will be given away in many categories, including Cutest, Scariest, Best Couple and more.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Bring your own pre-decorated pumpkin ready for display. Pumpkins can be real or artificial, carved, painted, and /or embellished. Guests will vote on the best, and your creation could be a winner.
Wreath Bid/Raffle: Place your bid(s) for One-of-A-Kind, hand-crafted holiday items. Bid/Raffle is a hybrid of a silent auction and standard raffle. You are encouraged to play multiple tickets to increase your chances of winning your favorite item.
Trick or Treat Walk: Do you remember “cakewalks”? This combination of musical chairs and a drawing to determine the winner of each game lets the winner “take the cake” or another delicious treat or valuable “trick” item. There will be multiple Trick or Treat Walk games and lots of opportunities to win.
Scary Libations: Mixologist Craig Durst is cooking up a scary (non-alcoholic) concoction that will be served in a souvenir glass.
This event is FREE and open to all, although the recommended age is 16 and above.
Light refreshments will be served. Additional treats, libations, raffles and games are available for purchase.
