STNC Arts, Recreation & Culture Committee

The Arts, Recreation & Culture Committee consists of a minimum of 5 Sunland-Tujunga stakeholders (see STNC Blylaws for stakeholder definition) with no more than two STNC board members.

Purpose:  to nurture and promote artistic endeavors and cultural events within the community; to provide a resource for and expand the awareness of the growing diversity of our neighborhoods.  STARC works to provide local artists and cultural organizers with the nexus of public space, venues and available support to aid in the achievement of relevant projects.  STARC also encourages the use and preservation of existing recreation space and advocates for future funding and expansion as a necessary means for the growth of social interaction among our community.
