Our Hills And Hollywood presented by the Little Landers Historical Society from SunlandTujungaNC on Vimeo.
The Little Landers Historical Society opened an exhibit on May 1st titled “OUR HILLS AND HOLLYWOOD” at the historical Bolton Hall. The show displays information and artifacts related to our rich history of filming in our unique community and will run through October.
On May 9th this presentation was given by local resident Craig Durst who currently works in the TV industry. It documents feature film productions from the 1920’s to recent times that have used our community as their film sets. An incredible journey that includes modern day photographs of the sites.
Director Mike Timm also previewed a teaser for an upcoming feature film titled A Karma Thing that was shot entirely in the Sunland-Tujunga area.
Some of the films highlighted include E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, The Craft, All The King’s Men, Chinatown, Christine, Heathers, Teen Wolf, Terminator 2, It Happened One Night, Memento, Seven pounds, River’s Edge, The Mark Of Zorro and Up in Smoke. Our Verdugo Hills High School is the most filmed High School in the country!
The exhibit is free of charge and open to the public. More info available at littlelandershistoricalsociety.org
