STNC Land Use Projects List
The LUC recently recommended support for the new Link N Hops at Foothill & Woodward, Drive Thru Car Wash at the Mobil Station in Sunland and Shop Easy Market & Liquor to be located next door to the new Big 5 Sporting Goods store on Foothill just west of Lowell.  Property owners appeared before the LUC and surrounding neighbors for each of the proposals.

Note:  All Foothill Blvd. properties are within the Foothill Corridor Specific Plan and its Design Guidelines area.  Target Areas and Major Activity Areas exist for some properties including Commerce Avenue. To become familiar with the Specific Plans search this site for the documents.  They are also available from the City Planning website.

3-16-15 -- The committee welcomes Cathi Comras who has been appointed by the STNC board to serve on the Land Use Committee as an alternate. 

The LUC will recommend support for the Shop Easy Market & Liquor to be located next door to the new Big 5 Sporting Goods store on Foothill just west of Lowell.  Property owners appeared before the LUC and updated the community on their recent remodeling and signage improvements to the overall site.  They also shared a rare photo of the site taken at the time they bought the property.  You can see the photo under the Photos Menu.

6231 Foothill Blvd. - Relocation of Convenience Store that sells a full line of alcohol for off-site consumpton (City Market #22) from its current location at 6247 Foothill Blvd. of 4,000 sq. ft. (Unit A) to 1,800 sq. ft. at 6239 Foothill and 1,500 sq. ft. (Unit B).  Conditional Use Required for this use.  However the use was approved prior to enactment of current Code requirement and due to relocation to smaller footage in same shopping center with same property ownership; the application is for a Plan Approval.

Day Street & Pali - Villa Nova Development  -- Land Use Committee and Neighbors met with the Developer, Andrew Novacek to review plans as submitted to the City. CD7 Representative unable to attend this meeting.

10455 Sunland Blvd. - Ralphs Remodel - ZONE BOUNDARY ADJUSTMENT PER SECTION 12.30.K TO RELOCATE A PORTION OF THE C2-1L ZONED AREA APPROXIMATELY 18'6'' AWAY FROM THE EASTERLY PROPERTY LINE OF THE SITE; PROJECT PERMIT COMPLIANCE REVIEW PER THE FOOTHILL BOULEVARD CORRIDOR SPECIFIC PLAN PER SECTION 11.5.7 FOR UPGRADES TO THE EXISTING SHOPPING CENTER.
